It’s rare for two of the best athletes from different sports to come together to celebrate, but that’s exactly what LeBron James and Kylian Mbappé have done with their “The Chosen 2†collaboration.
Scheduled to launch for Nike members and exclusively for House of Innovation Paris on January 7, and much more widely on January 9, the joint effort adds black, purple and orange accents to the Nike LeBron 18 and Nike Mercurial. More than eye-catching details, the palette and its execution on the upcoming shoes are reminiscent of the parallel championship paths between the kid from Akron, OH and the kid from Bondy, Paris, France. James and Mbappé’s logos appear on both shoes, while a unique collaborative graphic appears on the heel of the pair designed for basketball. As part of this monumental project, NIKE, Inc. has pledged to donate to IBKM (Inspired by Kylian Mbappé) and the LeBron James Family Foundation.
