Nike Basketball may soon introduce the new signature shoe from Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George.
Sneaker @ Sneakerhighway23 social media account shared what appears to be a first look at the upcoming Nike PG 5, as the post caption suggests.
The all-new silhouette features a stealthy black mid-upper upper and is accented with leather overlays in the forefoot, while a bold orange Swoosh wraps around the heel counter. The only indication that this shoe is tied to George’s signature line is the subtle “PG” logo stamped on the air unit under the white foam midsole. The look is completed with a rubber outsole featuring a footprint-inspired traction pattern.
George is one of five active NBA players to have a signature line with Nike, which includes current NBA Champion and Finals MVP LeBron James, reigning two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brooklyn Nets star duo Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. George’s Nike PG line was introduced in 2017 with the release of his very first signature shoe, the Nike PG 1. Since then, there has been at least one new silhouette every year.
Although @ Sneakerhighway23 has shared a first glimpse on Instagram, Nike Basketball has yet to reveal launch information and pricing for the upcoming Nike PG 5 sneaker.
In related news, Adidas announced yesterday on Twitter that Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young will be getting his very first signature shoe, the Trae Young 1, in 2021.
